17: Sarabveer Singh – Nanakshahi Calendar

In this episode of the Net Nihung’s Arena, Mandheer Singh speaks with Sarabveer Singh, a college student studying IT and Computer Science, about the Mool Nanakshahi Calendar. We discuss what it is, how it was created, its significance for the Sikh Panth and some of the problems encountered along the way. We also discuss how the main creator of the calendar, Pal Singh Purewal, used Gurbani and Guru Nanak Dev ji as the basis for a modern, scientifically accurate calendar.

Our mission here at the Net Nihung’s Arena is to highlight Sikhs from around the world by showcasing their professions, passions and perspectives through sharing ideas and entertaining discussions for the benefit of the Sikh Panth.
